About Chris:
Chris Snead is a 1995 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BA Degree in English. He is currentlythe Associate Vice President of the Texas Tech Alumni Association where he has been employed since 1999. He sits on the board of directors of several organizations including the College Baseball Foundation, Lubbock Power &Light, Covenant Hospital Foundation, and Communities In Schools on the South Plains. He is the Past President of the Greater Southwest Lubbock Rotary and SouthPlains Chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials as well as Past Chairman of the Covenant Children’s Hospital development board. He is currentlyPresident of the South Plains Girls Fast Pitch Softball League. Chris is an active member of Lake Ridge UMC. He has served as a member of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal Community Editorial Board, the Texas Tech Chancellor’s Council, and is a graduate of the 2003-04 Leadership Lubbock class. In addition, he serves as a staff sponsor of the Texas Tech Saddle Trampsand an advisor for the Raider Red Committee. He is a distinguished alumnus ofAlpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and in 2007, he was recognizedas of Lubbock’s Top 20 Professionals Under 40 by the Young Professionals of Greater Lubbock, Inc.
Snead is also recognized at Texas Tech as an honorary letter winner inbaseball and as an honorary Saddle Tramp.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys officiating baseball and football having worked the post season in both sports, including the 2003 Texas State High School All-Star Baseball Game. He is currently a crew chief in Arena Football 2, he has also worked as an official in the Lone Star Conference and the Western States Football Conference. Additionally, he was a 1993 All-American flag football official in college.
Chris has been married to the former Susan Cox of Amarillo and 1993 graduate of Texas Tech and theyhave two daughters, Kailey and Shelby.
About Chuck:
Chuck Heinz is a 18 year season ticket holder of Texas Tech Football, though he wasn't raised a Red Raider, he married one as soon as he could. Chuck and his wife Laura have two daughters, Stephani and Samantha who are also Tech grads.
A graduate of the Univeristy of Kansas, Chuck is in his 28th year of broadcasting since leave KU in 1983. He has called high school and junior college football and basketball games as well as professional indoor soccer. Chuck is from the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park where he followed the Chiefs and Royals. Since moving to the greatest state in America, Chuck has adopted the Cowboys and Red Raiders as his own.
Chuck is also very active in the Lubbock community hosting the Free Community Wide Thanksgiving Dinner and is a longtime participant in the Christmas is for Children program. When Chuck isn't working, which is rare, he enjoys golfing and obeying Mrs. Heinz.
